The communal conservancy stand at the Tourism Expo, which took place from 18 – 21 May 2016, was a good opportunity to showcase Community Conservation. The Minister of Environment and Tourism, Hon. Pohamba Shifeta, made a turn at the stand and commended the representatives for informing the public about conservation and wildlife. The theme for the stand was ‘Keeping Namibia’s Wildlife On The Land Means Creating Incentives For Communities’. There was a video competition based on the theme where participants were recorded explaining the importance of keeping Namibia’s wildlife on the land. This was an opportunity to hear the views and opinions of members of the public on why we need wildlife in the country. Take a look at the video Keep Namibia’s Wildlife

The NACSO team would like to congratulate the winners of the competition and special thanks goes to all the video participants.
