Nature Conservation Amendment law and new fines for admission of guilt


The following Act -  No. 3 of 2017: Nature Conservation Amendment Act, 2017 – has been passed by the Parliament and signed by the President on 9 June 2017, in terms of the Namibian Constitution and hereby published in terms of Article 56 of that Constitution.

The changes are in laws related to hunting of protected game whose penalties have been increased dramatically. There is also Admission of guilt (AOG) fines for different transgressions which also came into force recently following the signing into law of the amended Act.
