Details:	BirdLife International Global Seabird Programme in partnership with the Namibian Nature Foundation (NNF) and the Namibia Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR) are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible individual with a keen interest in marine conservation to join the Albatross Task Force. The position will be based at the MFMR in Walvis Bay, and will require some travel to Lüderitz. The incumbent is expected to work closely with fishermen, vessel owners, fisheries managers and other stakeholders at sea and on shore to quantify seabird interactions and mortality levels, and to record similar information for turtles and sharks. The work ultimately focuses on demonstrating the range of mitigation measures available to reduce incidental mortality to negligible levels. The successful candidate will be taken on a sea trip to assess their sea suitability for this post. Once this assessment is satisfactorily completed, along with a three-month probation, the candidate be offered an annually-renewable contract. For more details, see the NNF website (address below).
