Grants
NACSO itself does not give grants, but the Community Enterprise Support Project gives grants of up to N$ 50,000 through the Enterprise Support Fund. Full details of the types of projects that can be funded, and the application form, can be found on the NACSO - CESP website.
The Enterprise Support Fund is supported by the Community-based natural resource management Enterprise Support Project (CESP), Namibia. This project is co-funded by the European Commission and Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) with NACSO being the local partner. The main purpose of this project is to improve the livelihoods of disadvantaged rural populations in communal areas of Namibia. Funds have been made available under this project to support various activities to reach the overall project objective.
Activities which can be funded
Grants can be made available for the following activities:
Product implementation:
- Limited works and supplies - signage, information boards, furniture and equipment for small tourism and craft related enterprises;
- Marketing of small tourism and craft related enterprises.
Training and general business advice:
- Courses in: business and management; tourism awareness; monitoring and evaluation; specialist tourism skills (e.g. guiding – tourism and hunting); financial management and financial planning
- Exchange visits and study tours
- Mentorship
