Public Talk: A photographic introduction to the diversity of the succulent Euphorbias of Southern Africa

Rolf and Alma will take us on a whirlwind tour through the beauty of some 220 species of southern African Euphorbias.Drawing from their upcoming field guide and based on a recent plenary lecture presented at the International Euphorbia Society Symposium held in the Meise Botanical Gardens, Belgium, they will show us how the four subgenera of Euphorbia are distributed in southern Africa.  In addition, they will also highlight the most important morphological characters that will assist with the identification of these plants in the field. To conclude they will briefly outline some of their interesting findings in Nambia over the last three years.
