BREAKING NEWS...
Much of the documentation that was previously accessed through CONINFO can now be downloaded from NACSO's RESOURCES section. -- audits, fact sheets, profiles, maps, reports, gazettes, posters etc --
CONINFOWhat is ConInfo?ConInfo is a data management tool for storing and managing conservation related data. It comprises 4 main data types: 1) Databases and spreadsheets 2) GIS data 3) Image data, and 4) Documentation. Each conservation area (e.g. conservancy, concession, national park) has its own folder under each data type within which all relevant data are stored. Software such as Winzip (which retains information on folder levels and paths) precludes the need for users to copy the data structure as a 'one click' operation places the data they require in the correct location and folders on their computer. What's in ConInfo?ConInfo contains conservation related information for Namibia. It holds a wide array of documents, Image files, GIS files and databases. The contents of ConInfo continue to grow and the interface search facility allows you to find any file based on keywords or phrases in the file title. A general overview of ConInfo contents is provided below. For more information, read the overview document [pdf 142 KB].
How to get a copy of ConInfoMuch of the development of ConInfo is co-ordinated by the Natural Resources Working Group (NRWG) in conjunction with other partners. More information or copies of ConInfo can be obtained from the NRWG. CONINFO updatesUpdated files are available from the CONINFO ftp site. - Go to top - | ||
